As we study the book of 1 John, we've seen that our love of God cannot be disconnected from our love of other people.  Several weeks ago we read, "Whoever says he is in the light and hates his brother is still in darkness" (1 John 2:9).  The implications of such a truth are profound, but how does it play out on the battlefield?  If we are to love even our enemies, how should we or a soldier justify killing in war?  Such a tension between love and forgiveness has no doubt touched each of our lives, but how can we begin to approach a biblical and sensible answer?  The following podcast, is a discussion that provides a starting point for two different perspectives: pacifism and just war.
