The kids ministry at Park Community Church presents Light, a special needs ministry for children and families. Light exists because we believe God has called us to care for children with special needs in the city of Chicago. Our mission is to create an accessible church community for these families and to minister to their children in a way that they can understand God’s love.

Currently, Light is offering Parents' Night Out on the first Saturday of each month from 4-8pm at the Crosby Campus. During Parents Night Out, children with special needs and their siblings are cared for by loving and qualified adults. Each child will engage at their developmental level with peers and activities. From 4-4:30 we offer a time for parenting support and prayer. The rest of the night is for you to use as you need. Light exists to serve children with special needs and their families in the city of Chicago. There are many ways we are working to do this, some of which includes:
- Homebuddies- Setting up care at home
- Light in the Loop - Sunday morning buddies
- Parental support and connections
