Tasked with the mission of encouraging and equipping Park’s musicians and bands at Park to grow and excel is Mat Marron, Associate Music Director of Band Development. (Threatening to usurp Scott Clifton’s long held reign as staff member with the longest job title) Matt comes to us from Kansas, where he graduated from Kansas State University. Matt gained a lot of his musical knowledge through his 11 year career with the band Pomeroy (March 98-May 09). They toured extensively, recorded several records, and gained thousands of fans in the process. Matt’s list of hobbies include watching football, playing fantasy football, songwriting, and discovering new and interesting vegan places to eat in the city with his wife Jennifer.
